The standards by which smartphones compete are changing.

Today, we search for apps in order to get things done.

As agentic AI develops, that process could begin to reverse.

Instead of people searching for the right apps, people could simply describe the result they want, while AI determines which apps and services are needed.

2. On-device AI — Bringing AI From Distant Servers Into the Smartphone
